Research seminar with Gert Helgesson, Professor, Stockholm Centre for Healthcare Ethics Abstract In the fall of 2020 a working group was appointed to deal with the historical heritage of Karolinska Institutet, against the background of black lives matter and protests against controversial monuments, names on buildings, etc. on university campuses around the world. The working group’s first report, on monuments and names on streets, buildings, and lecture halls was criticized from all sides, exposing strong feelings. The second part of the work concerns the human anatomical collection at KI. It opens the door to additional ethical issues. Recorded at the Institute for Futures Studies, February 23, 2022.
