Climate change action cannot ignore social issues

How come, despite a series of troubling new reports and studies, the world has yet to respond adequately to the threat posed by global warming?

In this article, published at the website Project Syndicate, the researchers Marc Fleurbaey and Helga Nowotny conclude that the only way to tackle the threat posed by climate change is by simultaneously addressing social and political challenges. This conclusion comes from the vast work of three hundred social scientists on the International Panel on Social Progress.
