We welcome Berit Högman to our board

The Swedish government has appointed Berit Högman to the board of the Institute for Futures Studies during 2017–2022.

Berit Högman is Deputy Group Leader (SocDem) in the Swedish Parliament and has been a Member of Parliament since 2002. Her other assignments are: Deputy member of Committee on Cultural Affairs, Committee on the Constitution and Committee on Health and Welfare.

Berit Högman has already knowledge of some of our activities through her participation in an exchange program in 2015, organized by the Young Academy of Sweden and Rifo (a forum for facilitating contact and dialogue between members of the Swedish Parliament and researchers), where ten researchers and ten members of parliament will be able to share each other's lives. Our director Gustaf Arrhenius and Berit Högman were one of the couples of that year's program and she spent two half-days at the Institute as part of the exchange program.
