Michaela Borg

I have a master's degree in political sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

I'm a research assistant in BRIDGEGAP, an international and interdisciplinary research project led by anthropologist Janine Wedel. The project examines corruption as a political governance problem and analyzes how national and cross-border factors influence the control of corruption, with a particular focus on digital transparency and the effectiveness of anti-corruption policies in the EU and its neighboring countries.

I also manage the project F-BAROMETER (Future Barometer), a collaboration between IFFS and partner organizations in Denmark, Poland, and Ukraine. The project maps future-oriented attitudes in these countries, exploring how citizens imagine the future and what hopes, fears, and values shape their visions of the future.

In addition, I work as a research coordinator focused on external relations. I am also responsible for planning and coordinating the Institute's recurring research seminar series.
