IMISCOE 10th Annual Conference: Crisis and Migration
Clara Lindblom from the Institute has participated in IMISCOE:s 10th Annual Confernce in Malmö August 26–27th, presenting results from a study by the Thematic Group on Inclusion in Working Life.
The conference theme for the year was "Crisis and Migration: Perceptions, Challenges and Consequences and was organized by IMISCOE (International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion) and the Institute for Studies of Migration, Diversity and Welfare (MIM) and the Department of Global Political studies (GPS), Malmö University.
As Europe is currently muddling through a deep economic crisis with repercussions on the political stability of many European states, including the European Union as such, this conference will direct attention to the links between the crisis and patterns of migration into, between and from European countries.
The IMISCOE Research Network was created to find answers to questions about migration processes, migration flows and integration, and to create possibilities for the exchange of knowledge and experience between scientists, policymakers and practitioners in the field.
