The international community has agreed on the aim of avoiding dangerous interference with the climate system. Determining what level of interference is dangerous raises some difficult issues within moral philosophy – specifically within the theory of value. Climate change will kill many people and it will alter the world's future population - how should we judge the value of these consequences?
