I am an Associate Professor of Ethnology and conduct research on leisure and various forms of self-realization, with a focus on gender constructions, gender equality, and social equality. In my current research, I investigate adults’ participation in recreational sports through ethnographic methods, as well as how sporting norms are expressed and what consequences they have for individuals, organizations, and society at large.
I defended my PhD in 2014 with a dissertation on Swedish citizens’ transnational belonging and attachments following so-called lifestyle migration to Spain.
