I am a Senior Lecturer in Political Science at Mälardalen University, a visiting scholar with London School of Economics and an affiliated researcher at the Institute for Futures Studies.
My research lies at the intersection of International Relations (IR), political sociology and social theory. I explore the politics of knowledge and shifting global power relations within international institutions. My empirical expertise centres on human rights, development, global health and, more recently, international security. I have a long-standing interest in critical approaches to the social sciences, including genealogy, discourse analysis, postcolonialism, political ontology and STS.
In my current project ‘Futuring World Politics: The Politics of Foresight in International Organizations’(funded by the Swedish Research Council, VR 2025-2028), I examine how political organizations on the world stage relate to the future as a temporal register amidst uncertainty and diagnoses of polycrisis.
