Website Policy

In May 2018, GDPR was introduced, a new important EU regulation for data protection to replace the Personal Data Act (PUL). GDPR implies greater rights for you to determine how your personal information is handled. Among other things, it means that we need your consent to process your personal data.

Personal Data Responsibility

The Institute for Future Studies is responsible for the processing of personal data on this site and we protect the integrity of our personal data processing. The Institute for Future Studies follows the General Data Protection Regulation so that anyone registered can:

- Request an extract of their personal data
- Request that their data is corrected or amended
- Request a limited processing of their data
- Request that their data is moved to another organization
- Request that their data is deleted

Send your request by e-mail to info@iffs.se.

On our website, we collect personal data for the following services:

  1. Subscriptions

Personal data (name, possibly organization, e-mail address) provided for purposes of subscription to our newsletter and / or invitations to seminars are saved by us to be used only for such purposes. We regularly remove all information about the people who have opted out.

When registering for seminars, personal data is stored only as long as is required for administrative tasks, e.g. extraction of participant lists, posting of any evaluation or other post-work.

When seminars take place in collaboration with other organizations (as clearly stated in the information about the seminar), personal data can be displayed for these – though only for inspection, never for use. We never share personal data with unauthorized persons and never for use by third parties.

When you order our newsletter via our website, by phone or letter, you become a subscriber. The personal data you provide is registered by us and used to administer your subscription. The information you provide in connection with the subscription may also be used for follow-up and development of the Institute for Futures Studies communication operation.

  2. Applications for employment

When you apply for vacant posts, submit an inquiry with regard to employment with us or if you want to be contacted by us, we use your personal data only for the purpose of which you have provided it. Personal data provided in connection with inquiries regarding employment with us and job applications are saved and deleted in accordance with The Archives Act.
